This small Catherdral city has all the famous high street names but also boasts interesting specialist shops which are found dotted in the qaint cobbled side roads among the cafes and restaurants. The high street is the place where you find the household names like Debenhams and also Nasons. This obvious main road to the centre of the city also leads to The Parade where there are more shops. Guildhall Street, Mercery Lane and Burgate also joins this area.To the west of the city lies another shopping street St Margarets, this leads to the Marlowe Arcade where you will find the HMV store and Miss Selfridge. This part of the city also is home to the Whitefriars Shopping Centre this is an open air precinct. In nearby St Georges Street which is near the car park you will find shops like WHSmith and the Fenwick department store. The city of Canterbury also hosts a Farmers Market regularly. |
